Combat Guide

Cookie run kingdom contains a team-based system where players can develop a team of “Cookies” and fight enemies in a selection of game modes.

Team-based: Players can create a team of up to five cookies max in battle.

Skill-based: Every cookie in has unique skills/abilities that can be used and activated during battles.

Positioning: It is important to choose and place cookies strategically before battling to achieve successful battle results, such as placing tanks/stronger cookies to protect damage dealing cookies.

Gacha Guide

In cookie run kingdom players can unlock cookies, cosmetics, and power-ups using a unique gacha system. Each gacha requires a special currency to guarantee a draw. The gacha system is a luck-based mechanic and depends on the rarity of a cookie, such as common cookies are easier to draw compared to higher rarity cookies like ancients.

Cookie Gacha

The cookie gacha allows players to collect all rarity type cookies with default chance rates for each rarity. Using a draw requires crystal currency or a cookie cutter item to save crystals.

Special Gacha

The special gacha is similar to the cookie gacha except that newly released epic rarity cookies have a higher chance rate to draw for the player. The player can use crystals and special cookie cutters to draw.

Unique Gacha

The unique gacha also known as the gacha of fate, allows players to select a theme from the beast yeast story mode. After selecting the theme, the player can only get the chosen cookies from their chosen theme. Each theme includes one beast rarity cookie and one ancient rarity cookie. Players can only draw using fateful cookie cutters or fateful cookie tickets. After 300 total draws, the player is guaranteed to get the cookie of their choice.

Nether Gacha

The nether gacha is an exclusive gacha featuring a newly released high rarity cookie that can be obtained using temporary currency. The featured cookie will be guaranteed after enough draws. There is usually a new nether gacha with each update.

CHARACTER PROGRESSION

Just like in any game, progression in cookie run kingdom is important! There are many ways to progress our lovely cookie friends such as leveling them up!!

Shadow Milk Cookie: This right here… The star shaped object, is a star jelly! What are star jellies used for…? I’m glad you asked my friend! Star jellies are upgrade items that help rise your cookie’s level, the more star jellies you feed to a cookie… The higher their level! Tch those cookies depend on them so much! I mean… I don’t blame them, how else are you supposed to progress?

Star jellies can be earned from production buildings in your cookie kingdom, story mode stage rewards, purchased from shops, and earned from events! The possibilities are endless my friend!!

Promotion

Have you ever wondered what happens if you draw a duplicate cookie in gacha? Nothing!

Shadow Milk Cookie: Just kidding friend, you get something called soul stones for that cookie!

Shadow Milk Cookie: After colleting a certain amount of soul stones, you get the option to ‘promote’ the following cookie to one star (maximum of 5 stars) promotion boosts your cookie’s stats like health, damage, attack speed, etc. Which is essential for progression.

Promoted your cookie to 5 stars? No worries as there are more upgrades!

After you collected all cookie soul stones and upgraded that cookie to 5 stars, a new feature is available called “Ascension” (yay more upgrades to go through)

Ascension in cookie run kingdom is fairly like default promotion except soul stones are replaced by soul cores, and you’re required to use these crystal-like stones called “Soul Essence”

There is a total of four soul essence rarity types… Common, rare, epic, and legendary… Each designated depending on a cookie’s rarity… (sigh)

Shadow Milk Cookie: Hm, this promotion thing is getting quite complicated, isn’t it?

Black Sapphire Cookie: Greetings everyone, I am Black Sapphire Cookie, and I will talk you through our next cookie run kingdom promotion topic: “Soul Essence”

As Shadow Milk mentioned, Soul Essence is split into four rarity types: Common, Rare, Epic, and legendary. The rarity of the soul essence correlates to the rarity of the cookie, so ascending a common cookie requires lower rarity of soul essence compared to ascending a legendary cookie. The amount of required soul essence will also increase the higher rarity the cookie your ascending is. Take a look at the following graph for a better view.

Beast Cookies in cookie run kingdom function differently as they cannot be ascended. They require legendary soul essence and soul stones to be promoted to the next grade.

Awakened Ancient cookies work in a similar way; the difference though is that they require fewer resources

GAME MODES

World Exploration: World Exploration is the main story game mode in the wonderful world of cookie run kingdom!

There are two unique story arcs to explore in cookie run kingdom “Crispia” and “Beast-Yeast” with a total of 18 episodes in Crispia and 12 in Beast-Yeast, so much lore to experience!!!

When you clear stages and episodes in world exploration, you will earn shiny rewards such as coins, kingdom exp, star jellies and much more! Now that’s one way to get rich!

Let me give you a quick overview, my dear friend! To play a stage you are required to use energy which in cookie run kingdom is called Stamina Jellies! After clearing a certain stage, you are rewarded with stars. These stars help you get rewards based on how many stars you collect, sounds neat, huh? Well, there’s a catch! In each stage you can get 3 stars max and these stars depend on the lives of your dear cookies… Loose one cookie in battle and… Well, you’ll be rewarded with two stars instead! Lose two cookies and you only get one little star…

Difficulty: World exploration is unique as it is split into three difficulty sections!

The classic story mode: The most ideal and easiest!

Dark Mode: Slightly more difficult but offers greater rewards and contains its own unique storyline, how exciting!

Master mode: The final mode and difficulty available in Crispia! Master mode contains harder enemies but awesome rewards, if you’re a beginner… well let’s just say you won’t get too far.

Kingdom Arena

The wonderful kingdom arena in cookie run kingdom is where you’ll find all the lovely chaos and mayhem! A PvP or PvE mode where players use their team of cookies to battle other player teams! When you defeat another player, you gain trophies. These trophies determine the player’s tier and number of Victory Medals! Redeem your so-hard earned medals at the medal shop for valuables! (or not I guess)

However, you can’t fight forever as there’s, well… another limit! (just like in story mode) you must use Arena Tickets to participate in battle! When these run out you can’t play anymore… Though don’t you worry as these replenish over a period just like stamina jellies!

The Kingdom Arena also has seasons where players are limited to about a month of battles before all that sweet chaos ends! During that period, players can rise several ranks depending on trophies, the higher the rank the better the rewards when that season ends!

Players can customize their arena pedestal and purchase fancy pedestal ornaments using Victory Coins that are delivered to the player daily based on their current Arena tier. So fancy indeed!

Kingdom Management

Shadow Milk Cookie: In cookie run kingdom it is important to manage your precious little kingdom… Materials are essential for managing and upgrading your kingdom… you can build raw material buildings and assign cookies to craft those materials… (yikes… cookie labor…)

To produce a raw material the players will usually pay coins (at least we’re getting paid)

Each raw material building has a limited number of queue slots available so there is a limit to how many materials can be made (so you don’t overwork us) however more slots can be added but they cost crystals to add.
